Background
This was a brand-new business venture for my client, who was a recruiter by trade. He was looking to form a farm labour-hire business whilst continuing to work full-time as a recruiter. He was looking to reduce his and required the initial outlay of funds to purchase a side-by-side sprayer.
On paper, this was a high-risk lend. This was a new venture, and our client did not have experience in this industry.
We worked with our client to create a business plan, secure a work source letter and complete a cashflow forecast on how the business would trade. We then used this to secure funding approval for this client in a full credit assessment.

He has developed a deep passion for supporting clients across Australia in Agriculture.

Luca Catalano
Luca is a founder of Farmers’ Finance Australia. Luca has a background in asset management and finance, studying finance and mathematics, he started his career working in asset management and M&A. Luca and Christian identified a huge gap in the market of Agribusiness Finance, a few banks controlled the market and the rural nature of farming made it difficult for farmers to get access to options.
Our goal is to provide full transparency in the lending market and take the pressure off of farmers who are under serviced by banks.
